i paused the video to checkout librewolf and didnt see the dei stuff until just now; i don’t know about any hype, i’m de-mozillaing because i don’t want to get stuck in a walled garden and his anti-dei tirade is a waste of oxygen.

i tried librewolf because of this and now i can see how stuck i am in google’s wallgarden as i am in mozilla’s.

i’m going to have to start de-mozillaing in addition to de-googling.

i still have the yahoo account i created back in the 90’s and i can’t rid of it because of the nostalgia it inspires, so i mostly use it for spam whenever some random site wants me to sign up.

i somewhat get around this insisting that i use a kvm/linux based virtual machine; but i doubt that it’s very effective given that i’m still using my employer’s vpn connection and software.

i’ve been using prepaid for almost a decade now and i only buy $100 androids with the latest release and i use my voip number for everything.

i started doing the prepaid plan because i don’t always renew each month since i only need the data connection and i’m almost always at home. the $100 androids are a thing for me because i’m klutz with all personal electronics. so it’s more like i accidentally stumbled upon this form of privacy rather than seeking it out from the onset.

and setting up the vpn on the server itself is not an option? how about using a browser plugin?

i’m unfamiliar with mullvad; is the container hosted on your laptop? is it split tunnel?
