I would be surprised if this mattered, but I don’t know for sure. The more serious problem would be if your sent emails get caught in their spam filter.

Wife approval factor
My wife won’t use it if she can’t see an app for it to click on to start using immediately. Going through browsers is not an option. Not having a dedicated app on the LG TV is not an option. Not being able to find something instantly means instant rejection. She refused Plex, but now sometimes uses it and has learnt to find subtitles, etc by herself.
I don’t touch my self hosted apps. If something doesn’t behave properly on the first attempt then it gets rejected from our household. It’s only for us enthusiast nerds to put up with kanky UI and setup issues for the sake of superior functionality. Normie’s won’t tolerate it.
Thanks for the heads up. The next challenge is finding anything of value on the platform.
Unless you work in a customer facing role…then you throw out apologies all over the place to calm people down. Never need to act on the apology. Just need to get through the shift. Management isn’t going to change the structures that cause the poor experience anyway.
“Hey! We can’t let them steal that. I wanted to steal that!”
“But daddy, mommy said all you did was circle jerk with strangers online”.
Now that you’re old enough, you’ll understand that it males no sense.
Nope. I’ve never used one.
Just be careful about the sim expiring. Each network will have its own rules. The sim I have stipulates that it needs to be topped up at least once every 6 months and a call or SMS sent every 3 months to keep it active.
This is standard practice for me. You don’t even need another flip phone. Most phones come with a dual sim tray. I keep the 2nd sim in my phone and keep the sim switched off in the settings. I do all signups with this number.
This is “Darth Vader did nothing wrong” IRL
Lol, yeah that’s what I meant. I did an internet search first and the AI result that came up gave me this spelling and a full proper (hallucinated) explanation along with it.
I think you’d just have to buy another Synology with more bays.
I guess not
Exactly. There was a fantastic podcast episode looking at how he did this, but I can’t find which specific episode it was now.
I can’t believe what I said is being considered such a disagreeable hot take…but I guess that’s how polarised the world has become.
I know this is a joke, but if this is genuinely how someone thinks, then it so self-absorbed and narrow minded to not be able to step out of your own mindset.
The comment implies absolute good/evil and that people are knowingly acting evil. The people you don’t agree with do have consistent moral principles that they are working with (however misguided or skewed they may be). I can’t stand racist/sexist people either, but if you can’t see how these people are worried that “woke” people are destroying their view of society and threatening their morals, then you won’t really be able to engage them to change their minds. This entrenched thinking is why all discourse is now just shouting matches at each other.
Sniff more butts. Pee on belongings.
All news sites should be consumed via RSS. Their front pages are the equivalent of social media algorithms and you only see what they want to show you. When you use RSS you get a list of news in time order and see news stories you would never see on their website because of how fast they drop it from their front page and bury it in menus.
