I think that was their point, that the topic of trans rights/life/culture/whatever-you-want–to-call-it being auch a popular, contentious subject is driving them to dislike everyone involved. I can certainly understand how seeing a topic again and again when you don’t personally care about it can engender (hehe) negative feelings. I don’t really understand not caring about this, though. Maybe they just don’t have any trans friends/relatives, and that lack of personal connection lets them remain aloof from the issue. Maybe they’re just a jerk (doesn’t seem like they are, though). Who knows.

It’s a bit like OSRS for reddit - an attempt to revive the reddit we all have very rose-tinted memories of. Unfortunately we seem to have forgotten about the the rampant casual misogyny, tribalism, moderator political infighting, that the 2007 XP rates were actually abysmally implemented and desperately needed retooling (and that deeply awkward “ron paul” phase reddit went through…)

  • … Is this a bit? Because thats some unhinged shit to believe if you’re being serious.

Just to be clear here, Putin isn’t responsible for all the worlds evils, that’s just… well, dumb. Sorry but like, who in their right mind could believe that? Seriously, I don’t know how you could possibly arrive at that conclusion.

And hell, he’s not even responsible for all the evils in the US. But he’s very openly and publicly working with the far right parties here, who are in their turn very open about working with him, and that makes him a very relevant current figure. Not… sure what part of that is a revelation.

  • Nah it’s not you, FreeCAD is perfectly usable for something like the above referenced knob but even mid-size assemblies really have problems. I personally find the workflow to be bad and irritating beyond my ability to express in words and I can’t imagine how frustrating it would be as a new user to work it out for yourself while at the same time getting used to thinking of objects as collections of operations. It’s a great lightweight program for people who already know what they’re doing and that value FOSS, though. 1.0 really fixed a ton of the issues, but it still has the “Blender UX” problem that seems to plague all big FOSS projects…
