Yes, sorry. I woke up in the middle of the night, but apparently my brain didn’t…
I’ll correct it now 👍

Briar is the one that was mentioned a lot when the protests were happening in Taiwan, if that helps 👍
I’ve only just set it up, mainly for the facial recognition. I had no idea that it could do that type of search too. It’s going to be really helpful with my faulty brain and not remembering words 🙂
The team are helpful too, and helped me with a question when I set it up 🙂
If it’s anything like my server, it’s in the same room, but only connected to the power and network. You can open and close the drive, but it doesn’t have a keyboard, mouse, or monitor 👍
Holding down the shift key and tapping the insert, or ins key used to be a way to clear the BIOS. It won’t hurt to try it.
The only other option is to keep try Fn and F2 and hoping to get the timing right. You can try holding Fn as you press the power button and spamming F2, or pressing ctrl, alt, and del to reboot from the boot selection screen and then spamming Fn and F2, but unfortunately it looks like Lenovo are one of those manufacturers who don’t give you much time.
F2 or Fn + F2 are supposed to be the keys to press, according to the Lenovo site here, with some other options:
If they don’t work, F11 is usually the boot selection key for most devices, so might at least let you boot from another device.
Daft question, but have you tried spamming the F2 key starting from while Windows is shutting down, or while the computer is restarting? You might get lucky and hit the split second window that Lenovo have programmed in 🙈
Good luck 🙂
Thank you 🙂
Immich on its own looks good, but if I set it up, I think I’ll definitely install lightGallery to go with it 🙂
You can see [a live demo here](https://immich-demo.note.sx/share/ffSw63qnIYMtpmg0RNvOui0Dpio7BbxsObjvH8YZaobIjIAzl5n7zTX5d6EDHdOYEvo), which is serving a gallery straight out of my own Immich instance.
Sorry, off topic, but is this what Immich looks like out of the box, or have you used any other plugins?
Immich Public Proxy looks like exactly what I want for my family photos, but I haven’t looked into Immich yet. The demo looks beautiful, and is simple enough for the grandparents to use 🙂
Have you tried getting the update pack and running an update? This site says that the update should run automatically when the card is placed back into the device, but it will probably give you the files too.
I don’t have the fx2000, but I got the information from here:
On step one though, don’t go to ancel.com, go to anceltech.com, search for the fx2000, and scroll right to the bottom of the page to find the Downloads link, in the footer below the content.
Like I said, I don’t have the fx2000, so I have no way of knowing if this will work, or if it will make things worse. I’ve used updates in similar situations in the past, but that’s no guarantee.
Good luck 👍
Back in the forum days it was the wink 😉
I’m feeling this one today. I had to ride about 25 miles to an appointment this morning, but as I pulled onto the main road, a 70 mph dual carriageway, I realised that I had forgotten my earplugs. It’s been about an hour, and my ears still don’t feel right.
They don’t shove them to the side, they put the new kidney in the front 👍
Still, don’t they require ID and phone number and shit these days ?
I’ve got no idea. I haven’t had to do either, but I’ve had my account for years, and pretty much only use it to keep track of birthdays.
I’ve used marketplace a few times for buying and haven’t had to add any extra info, it just connects me with the seller through Messenger. I’m in the UK if that makes any difference.
Would a virtual machine work for this? Set up a minimal Linux distro with a browser and set the browser to delete cookies on exit, then only use it for Facebook. VMs are not perfectly secure, as I understand it, but I can’t see Facebook tunnelling its way out of one.
Try the obvious stuff first, in case you missed anything. It’s easy to do :)
Reboot the computer. Check that everything is plugged in properly, whether it’s your speakers or headset. Check that Windows is trying to use the correct device. It may have switched the default to your fixed monitor, especially as you get sound through it. Check the volume for your headset. Windows supports separate volume levels for different devices. Check the headset in the rear connectors on your computer. Check your headset with the cable on a known working device, like your phone. Boot to a live Linux distro and see if the sound works there. Turn the computer off completely, and make sure that you didn’t unplug the front panel connector when you installed the SSD.
These should give you a good idea of where the problem is, and let you rule out a few things. Obviously you don’t need to carry out the steps that would be redundant, so if your headset works with the rear ports, you don’t need to check it with your phone, for example.
Good luck :)
In my defence it’s late at night here 🙈
While I agree with you, if OP is spending money on a remote, they may as well try to find an original remote. They’re unlikely to be expensive, and will have all the correct buttons :)
That’s good to know, thanks :)
I’ve got a few services running on my aging media server, so I want to start doing it properly, and getting a proper home sever going. I’ve used ssh for some of the basics in the past, but I need to start using that more too :)
