it’s a double edged sword really,
it allows some games to get enough funding to be finished. indi devs can basically start with a strong demo & then work on their project with an actual budget
and it allows other games to never be finished and still sold, indi devs can start strong, and then give up, and still make passive income out of people who don’t scroll down to reviews to check if people aren’t complaining about the game being abandoned, or in forever-early-acess-hell
then it comes down to a framerate drop and bullshit (and if you’re playing a non-you character, you can also blame them personally eg. “Link what the fuck are you doing?”)

your sleep is on a cycle, each cycle is ~90 minutes, you need from 4 to 6 consecutive cycles to get a good night’s sleep, that’s 6 to 9h (how much you need depends on your body)
now here’s the kicker - if you wake up at the end or the beginning of a sleep cycle, which is when the lightest phase of sleep occurs - you’ll feel nice and refreshed.
but if you wake up in the middle - during the deepest phase of your sleep cycle - you’ll feel like a fucking zombie and are quite likely to promptly turn off your alarm & go back to sleep and not even register that action as a memory because most of your brain is still asleep
this is also why you can’t really have a 40 min nap that leaves you refreshed, you can either have a refreshing <20min nap or a refreshing ~90min nap, anything inbetween will make you feel more tired as your mind now has to wake itself up all the way from deep sleep
so yeah, sleep in ~90min increments, my personal sweet spot is 7:30h

Money rules the world, do you think even if found guilty of genocide he’d face prison time? Do you think even if he was, miraculously, put in prison he’d go some place else but the most luxurious prison available for the shortest amount of time possible?
How many million dollar bottles of champagne do you think he drank with the money that he denied those who put their lives in his hands? Is that not a celebration of their deaths?

middle clicking a link opens it in a new tab (works even on steam! great for comparing games or continual browsing without resetting your scrolling progress during sales)

eh not quite, a paid beta tester is hired to create standardised, and well written bug reports. when someone buys an early access game it’s the same as a game foundriser with a donation tier that gives them access to beta versions, you’re not required (and barely even expected) to provide well written bug reports. quite frankly i think it’d be an infuriating experience if a dev decided to relay on their early access players’ “bug reports” for their beta testing, since most of those are just a screenshot of their game with words “found bug fix please”, what did they do to get that bug? they don’t remember. what’s their specs? they say windows10. what version of game were they running? they say they took the screenshot 10 minutes ago (have they updated the game? maybe, maybe not)
