we don’t like being a part of the drama. we like watching them though 🍿
ok? and i’m polish, i was talking about americans.
AI is not just ethically dubious, it’d also outright harmful for the already strained environment we live in. If AI stays - it won’t be here for long, mostly because there won’t be anoyone to ask it to generate giant hentai tits anymore
what confuses me a lot about america is how a lot of people will defend the AI’s “right” to steal training data to learn (education)
when there’s millions of students out there going into life long debt to go to collage, and none of the same americans are fighting for their right to learn for free
sadly there are no stealth edits on lemmy, even if you hit edit the second you posted your comment to fix a typo it’s going to show up
… you can’t see the massive exaggeration for the sake of being funny?
yeah at first i wanted to say “corporation” and “individual” but that’s not an equal playing field at all. So i just switched my woring to “bigger” thinking of idk, a writer in the same field who has a bigger following than you
i didn’t even get into the patents part because i’d be ranting about Adobe for hours again, and i already spend too much time thinking about them
edit: but then i said corporation anyway lol, i blame the fact i just woke up when i was writing that comment
though usually stupid and fucky copyright laws have one advantage - if someone bigger than you steals your idea you can take them to court. without copyright laws we’d have giant corporations just taking shit and using their platform to sell stolen ideas without a single cent going to the original creator…
which happens anyway, but uh, i guess it’d happen more?
honestly idk, let’s do a test run of a year without any copyright laws and see if anything changes like at all
my family hasn’t owned a dryer in all the years i used to wear zip up hoodies and they still did that
i’m the opposite, i’m trans and i picked a rather rare name for my fist name, but my middle name? Jon :)
i send messages to myself when i need to get a link/image from my phone to my pc or vice versa
lmao, their tourism is going to shrivel and die so fast
danish butter biscuits are the best, and they can be elevated to divine if you dip them in tea. If you see a sewing kit shaped tin in a shop one day - try them
i hear Laurel at high volumes and Yanny at low volumes, and if i turn down/up the volume little by little i can hear the same one across all volumes ( brain resets after a few seconds of not listening)
i accidentally picked the gayest high school to go to and even coming out as trans in my last year didn’t cause me any troubles. even the old teachers who never saw a trans person (that they knew was trans) before me did their best to respect my pronouns and identity without judgement. and all that in Poland, a country not exactly famous for being inclusive.
but i got insanely lucky, school can be tough. my heart goes all to those who’s joy of learning got dulled by others
i think the americans are trying to make a new series? idk i saw some posts how all actors are hot now and how Snape is played by a black actor. which- why the fuck would you pick the most sketch of the main cast characters to be a POC, literally pick anyone else, hell make Harry black, or Hermione. why is the only bad character (up until the last idk 30min of the series runtime) black. this is not a diversity win, americans
if you’re having issues with dismissing that voicemail notification you need to wipe data from the “phone services” app, it doesn’t show up normally and you need to enable “show system apps”. don’t disable it, just wipe the data
obviously, young people are more wary of cults, and JW score quite high on various “are we a cult?” quizzes
