Eugenics can sound pretty appealing until you take a moment to really think about it and aren’t the type to just be okay with whatever suffering you may cause in the name of the “greater good”.
And making it illegal to have children with close relatives is a form of eugenics, i.e. it’s still practiced and widely accepted in most western countries.
Yeah, in games like Morrowind or Gothic it definitely got annoying sometimes trying to find the destination of a quest. I just hate it that the markers will often be directly on an item to the point that I can’t even really see the item before picking it up, because smaller items often get completely covered by the quest marker.
It’s a great innovation that has been overused and abused.
It’s a general trend in modern gaming, similar to how RPGs usually have quest markers that not only show you the general location of your quest objective, but often the exact target - and it’s one thing to do it like that when the NPC you need to interact with is out in the open (when IRL you could just ask someone for directions) but often games will have quests like “go to this place and search for an item” and mark the exact location of the item down to the centimeter. And you can’t just deactivate the quest markers (I’ve seen that option in some games, plus this should be relatively easy to mod), either, because most games won’t actually tell you with words where you need to go.
Which might have been an attempt at maintaining plausible deniability.

I wouldn’t necessarily expect a discount, but I certainly wouldn’t refuse one unless I’m doing better financially than my friend (which is unlikely). Paying more than asked? I’d have to do much better financially than my friend, which is extremely unlikely.

The fact that most of my PC builds are generally midrange builds (i.e. about that $700 price if I reuse the case and PSU and GPU prices aren’t surging), and that midrange-build-GPU is only barely usable for AAA for one full generation. It might go for longer with games that are as well-optimized as a Doom game, but that’s not the norm.
The $700 build is definitely not keeping up with AAA games for two full console generations.
That’s cool, but most people want to keep playing current AAA games.
Do you need a new keyboard and mouse though? Even laptop users usually already have a mouse, and keyboards tend to have good longevity - mine is over 10 years old.
Many people already have a laptop and want to build a PC specifically for gaming, though. Upgrading isn’t all it’s cracked up to be IMO, it’s definitely nice to have but a console lasts the entire console generation (5 years give or take?) if you ignore then mid-gen upgrade which is usually entirely optional.

Well, it’s mostly water, enzymes and a bunch of bacteria. The enzymes make it work, the bacteria limit the number of reasonable applications.
I’d assume that most governments (other than the US) don’t have easy access even if E2EE in WhatsApp etc. is a sham - these companies are definitely intent on keeping the pretense up, and smaller countries aren’t able to disprove it.
