How much is Pi-hole worth it assuming I’m using UBO and also have most non-ad based streaming services?
I’m thinking phones and less often used devices?

One of the reasons I actually like Apple Pay (besides the convenience) is the fact that it randomly tokenizes your information so stores can’t track you as easily. That’s why the push for loyalty programs so they can continue to track you where they can’t by card anymore.
Why in the world are you using company resources on a personal device? You should always seperate the two for your own peace of mind as well as privacy.
I called one day to see how close I was to being able to remove PMI and the rep said “eh, you’re close enough… I removed it, you’ll see your updated amount on your next payment”.
I was surprised how easy it was.
I wonder if this is why their store has been offline for over a month. Had an order cancelled, after sitting for 3 weeks. Got a voucher for 50% off “when the store open”. Still waiting…
Prince of Egypt. Don’t need to be religious and that’s the best fucking animated movie ever.
Regardless of “hard evidence” it’s still the company policy. How well does it go over if you try to say “well acktuslly…” when it comes to password changes.
That implies though I don’t want valid certificates in my environment. I still want to make sure even on my private network I’m using valid certs. A lot of security departments require that too even if the device isn’t public facing.
Tell that to all the embedded device manufacturers… switches, appliances, nas, etc.
There’s a whole load of things that will have a massive administrative burden if the frequency is dropped.
There are a lot of embedded systems that do not offer API support to swap out certificates. Things like switches, dvr, nas devices, etc.
They’re not talking the amount of use, but just the sheer fact that if you see an electric light in a video game, it’s being powered by real world electricity, just like a normal light is.
I feel like I’m ootl… wtf is “honkwiching”
I mean, you do you. I enjoy watching them.
ChatGPT can fuck off and die. It’s causing real world problems with the amount of resources it consumes and what it’s trying to do to put people out of jobs which will cause real deaths. So yes, gaslight away. It’s one step below a CEO.
I’m thinking you’re missing the point of this post….
I mean, would you want to run everywhere just because you can?
I absolutely abhor pugs and chihuahuas. Pugs because they shouldn’t exist (in their current form). It’d be like an alien breeding people with down syndrome because they found it “cute”. And as for chihuahuas, I just don’t like how tiny and yappy they are, no real logical reason there.
Which are all things you can easily do with an RPi and some simple python. My response was to OP stating that embedded systems are hard.
If you’re using a specific embedded system and want to make it pretty, sure that could pose some issues, but if you want to make something functional that matches what a smart thermostat can do, there’s not much behind it.
Except thermostats. You literally could do it with a Raspberry Pi, some 24V relays and a temperature sensors. Thermostats are not that hard.
Wait, people use thumb drives with whatever formatting was on it when they ripped open the box? Next you’re gonna tell me people pick up random usb sticks off the ground and plug it in to their computer….
