They’re not advertising to existing consumers, they’re trying to attract new ones. If someone is shopping around for sort functions and yours says it uses radix to make it faster and more performant, then it’s likely going to be a good selling point. Similarly, they put “we use AI, so you know it’s good” on everything because they think that’s also a good selling point.

I just looked up my old geography textbook from 6th grade to double check if I was remembering correctly. And it’s yes and no. It was indeed North America, Central America, and South America, but they all were regions of a single continent: America.

Huh, I always thought people who post flipped photos are just technically challenged (and/or have really poor eye for detail to not notice it). Never considered someone doing that on purpose just to further their own delusion of what they look like.

It’s nice to say no, but across history there have been so so many societies that have allowed exactly that at similar scales.

I do agree with separating the artist from the art, but I also understand choosing to not support people whose values you disagree with. Because your money will end up being used to support those values.

So yes, I won’t say that I don’t like certain songs/books/paintings/etc. because of the artist, but I can refuse to pay for them or other related merchandise.

When I was a kid I always asked for a taste when my parents had a drink with the meal. It was just a sip and I never liked it and it burned (it was usually a hard spirit), but I still asked every time.
