Thanks, I haven’t used pi-hole in a while, but it looks the same for me.

Does it do auto certificate renewal?
Yes.
Have you considered using a Cloudflare tunnel to bypass the CGNAT?
I did before when I had some free domain over there, but I don’t think there are any worthy free domains out there anymore, and even when they are cheap, I really don’t need it and don’t feel comfortable to pay for something that I can’t use in its fullest (due to CGNAT).
For example, I am aware cloudflare tunnels can’t be used for a Plex/Video streaming and that is the number 1 service that I want to be exposed to the Internet.
For now I am living with my IPv6 address and the Synology DDNS with the reverse proxy features… My personal fallback are Tailscale and Zerotier.
I use Synology integrated reverse proxy, stupidly simple and always works for me (only if IPv6 doesn’t fuck up itself, I can’t fallback to IPv4 because that is CGNATED), if I am missing features that other options have I would like to know :)
Actually my ISP supports IPv6 (it is very erratic though) so I can access some of my services outside through it without using VPNs (only using a reverse proxy for the 443 port), but still is very annoying when I want to use them with IPv4 only networks, such as my carrier mobile data, I suffer from this especially when wanting to use Plex.
In a nutshell, CGNAT users must spend money for something that people with IPv4 addresses can do for free 😔
Ah, I figured… I used to do this with Wireguard instead of Tailscale.
Tailscale?
Is this setup advisable for the CGNATED environment?
Yeah stopped bothering with setting up the hour manually for these things… Every rainy or windy season my electricity is quite erratic.
I barely use YT on the desktop (mostly used with Smart Tube then YT Revanced) to even face these issues…
Glad to know the Ublock team is still fighting this as soon as possible.
For seeding? Out of luck as I don’t have a VPS currently, I used one to open my ports with some hacky ways using Wireguard and IPtables stuff, if there is a better way I would like to know lol.
Now I just constantly seed in hopes that people with the ports opened can access my stuff.
For accessing my files, Zerotier and Tailscale have been a godsend.
I also happen to have IPv6 support and I can access some exposed services through it without too much hassle, Plex and Bitwarden are two big examples.
Sadly the country has a lot of other shit to worry about, I don’t expect that to change in the short or long time lol.
Are you pirating shit? Yes? Use a VPN.
I pirate and seed shit from Mexico no issues without VPN… My only headache is CGNAT.
You are right.
Even if YT Premium was cheap AF, I wouldn’t pay for it because:
LMAO, no thanks, but I appreciate you sharing with me those communities (I didn’t know them).
I might try it more often, usually it is just a spam of memes for me, and for that I use other apps 😅
I’d suppose that, but so far all people that have replied to me say otherwise 😅
Wdym? I am pretty sure it shows stuff from diverse instances.
That is fair, browsing my subbed subreddits for more than 10 years was my way to go for Reddit (Reddit was my replacement for Feedly, basically, so I am used to curating my stuff).
Maybe that is why, aside from the APIcalypse I don’t have a grudge against Reddit, and I missed some huge drama shit and toxic bs that you’d find in r/All (spam, bots and reposts too).
I tried Jellyfin years ago, it is in my test for later todo since then, it was pretty vanilla compared to my Plex Media Server (for instance I couldn’t get to work the transcoder to use quick sync to lower the CPU load if needed, meanwhile Plex worked fine with the Docker container even).
With that said, I stopped using Plex daily in order to give some use to my Real Debrid account (so Stremio and Kodi are the next logical alternatives for me) and because I only have a two bay NAS with 10 TB in total, and I like to hoard so I struggle every time I need to delete something, since I knew about Riven/Zurg/Rclone/DMM combo I have returned using Plex without worrying each day about my drives, keeping it updated and enjoying the thinkering process of this new experience, also sharing the love with a couple of friends, I see no need to try Jellyfin, even after that many years.
