I don’t know. I enjoy everything my son has said so far.

Maybe one day I won’t enjoy it, but for now, I can’t get enough.

I got a used 10Gbe switch and a thunderbolt 10Gbe adapter for my computer and now I can transfer my videos and photos from my NAS like it’s my internal hard drives.

It can also do 2.5Gbe which pretty much future proofs me.

Except a 12 year old Mac isn’t supported by Apple anymore and will likely be riddled with vulnerabilities. You could just load Linux on it since it’s probably an Intel based chipset.
