Dang I wish did more with the Mimic3 project. They have SSML support which just seems like an awesome way to address the mono voice issue in tts for books to me.

Adding evidence not an answer. Its wild to me when it predicts my Duolingo lesson words to me. Like that anomaly is just wild to me
I’m commenting via Tor now. It’s not that bad
I do it with k3s right now on fedora. I like it personally.
Nice thing if you use k8s settings up persistent net storage with something like longhorn is an option too.
Harvester cluster my everything. I really want to play around with having my servers being stationary, a togo cluster (laptops, and UPS in a suit case), and PC all in the same cluster.
Right now they are all segmented rke2 clusters, but Harvester should make running vms way easier too.
Distrobox. Building weird projects is nicer when I can start from a fresh system each time.
I think you can point to a file instead too
“Hey I’m going to buy your location data tonight.”
“I like to know where you go on Thursdays”
This what Google, Facebook, X, your ISP, and the junk apps on your phone actually get from you, and everyone around you when you use their creepy apps.
Hit me up on Mastadon, use Tor, use DDG, we should have an restraining order against these creeps. Worse yet they don’t just want it for themselves they sell and share it with company, countries, anyone they like, and don’t tell you.
This is how I WANT to talk about because it’s how I feel. Their just strangers, I wouldn’t tell a stranger on the street any of this. I feel like this is such a fringe thought for people though.
Right. It’s the difference between I’ve been to Holland and I’ve lived in Springfield Missouri and I am at Holland right now and my house in Missouri is currently unoccupied and full of valuables.
Time of info can make a heck of a difference
ZeroTier looks super cool!
I think you maybe misunderstanding. I mean sure those are things libertarians who are also 2a supporters rail against and fight for those things, but yeah the people who are being targeted the most are the people need to exercise their 2a the most. If the only people armed are faciest or adjacent then only their rights and interests are protected by it. Without the 2a only the states rights and interests (police, DeSantis, etc) are protected with guns.
Those aren’t all swat teams, the admin running the counter isn’t coming in stomping ass on a moments notice. They aren’t all just chilling in the catacombs waiting to march on a moments notice either.
If they did however mobilize to max effect, you don’t think the arm population would immediately be on edge? That would be a full martial law order, which could be met with heavy resistance.
That is what it means to be delayed and to be hesitant.
I have 100% seen for myself cops shape their response out to places around where I live because the risk is not worth it to them. They focus on serious crimes and will flat refuse to go to do bs calls that are just minor neighbors disputes.
If DeSantis wants to put the state in marshal law he would have to convince the armed citizens of the state that that is ok, or expect violent resistance which again cops are people, and people don’t like being shot, so expect hesitation on following some orders.
Privacy is a foundational right. Without it inviduals suffer from the imbalanced power dynamic of the states resources.
Fascist just over value them. Too many socialist under value them.
Valid reason 1. In order to increase the cost of wide spread authoritarian action against the people of the Unites States.
What is a good alt for cloudflare here tbh?
I’ve done wire guard, and tor service to obfuscate the network, and crowdsec for a good external firewall, and linkerd gateway to actual services (and keycloak for sso).
Besides adding gotelaport for more fine grained access, idk what else you could do, but even then idk if its still competitive as someone else’s network taking your ddos loads lol
Matrix is still in my “recommend” category for real time federation. With third room still being the coolest example of what that can mean so far. They build on the same libs that make Peertube work too for the video sharing aspect (not the video metadata sharing and socials that all ActivityPub).
I’m really excited to see dendrite make it to client devices for real p2p servers, maybe even as a micro service deployment. I do want to try out the Conduwuit too.
That said the metadata leakage is an issue to me and consider that a serious flaw depending on your threat model, and you want to extra steps to preserve your identity from an untrusted matrix network and/or stick to a private one you trust
