I agree with that. It makes a lot of sense. In my case I was 28, so I don’t exactly fit the criteria. But still.

If they don’t know that you want it disconnected or never wanted it connected in the first place they’re likely to just tell you if it’s active or that it’s not at the request of the owner and then ask if you want it connected. If you play dumb and non-accusatory. That’s all I’m saying.

I believe EU also requires that you give up login credentials if they are biometric in nature. Meaning if you use a fingerprint reader or face unlock you are required to provide that to law enforcement when asked. So either way if they want your phone’s contents they can get it.
