  • Do your headphones have a 3.5mm jack? If so, you could use a bt receiver on that, make sure the receiver has multipoint.

A more difficult, but more likely to work properly, option is to get an audio interface with two inputs. Input your deck and phone into it and put a bt transmitter on the output or headphone jack. Keep in mind line-ins are usually in summed mono to you won’t get directional sound.

But just to make sure I covered the obvious: could you not just play the podcast through your Deck while playing? I’m not familiar with SteamOS but Steam BPM has this option.

  • Could be an issue with the PCIe drivers (i.e. chipset driver). If the drive goes into gone mode, check device management to see if the drive shows up at all. If it does, open disk management to see if the partitions initialise at all.

If your drive is detected, go to device management to see which PCI subsystem it’s connected to by selecting it and then go to View - devices by connection.

If it is detected, you can also check its values with something like CrystalDisk to see if something is wrong.

Lastly, if you have another NVMe drive lying about (long shot, I know), chuck it in the same port as the failing one and reboot a couple of times to see if something breaks.

To sum up: it’s either the drive or the PCI interpretation layer in Windows. Eliminate to find the cause, then fix that. Since it works fine in Linux I think you can rule out hardware issue.

  • I think I need to read up on the fediverse a bit more. Technically it looks like anything in the fediverse at the moment is ActivityPub, even though it supports 3 more protocols. At this point, only Hubzilla uses something other than ActivityPub, even though it also makes use of AP. I was confused because Matrix is also an open protocol and also federated. I had figured everything federated could talk to each other underneath… That’d be the dream, right?
