Yeah mass produced garbage is garbage, but there’s good food outside of that. 3-4 distinct bbq styles all great in their own right. Clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. NY pizza, Detroit Pizza, Chicago Pizza and hot beef sandwiches. Biscuits and gravy, fried chicken, fried okra. Blackened seafood, crawfish boils, jambalaya, beignets. Where I’m at, smoked fish, wild rice, and pasties.

It’s a rat race. If you don’t, someone will and you lose.
Yep it’s the return shipping that gets you. I order from REI but the closest store is 2 hours so I go 1-2x a year. Often my orders have free shipping but return shipping is prohibitively expensive. This keeps me from buying some things from their online store, either waiting to go in person or ordering it somewhere else. Or most likely, paying a bit more to get something similar locally.
This reminds me of the time I played the first half of “Please play this song on the radio” on the college radio station.
Of course a Loki would avoid reading a text to prevent sending a read receipt.
Looking at you iphone. The little price is right scroller was cute the first time but has been a pain ever since.

Corn is grass the same way sugar is grass or bread is grass.
I switched jobs in part because 35 minutes each way was too long. New job is 12 minute drive and I am eying jobs that are a 5 minute walk.
My older mid tier iphone was more expensive than my wife’s pixel 9 pro bought around the same time. Her phone is better in almost every way, for sure every way that matters. I am counting the days until I can switch back to a device that doesn’t suck.
21·2 months agoIf you tuck in your bed every morning you have a nice tucked bed with fewer wrinkles at night. Yes I am a princess, yes that is a pea, and so I am making my bed and tucking the edges. Grandma would be proud.
5·3 months agoPerishables take more planning. Get just enough and have a plan to use it. Use canned and frozen food to account for uncertainty. Be aware of expiration dates of your food and plan accordingly.
