Loans are so shady as an industry, the smaller they are the more they’re just looking to further exploit the poorest people
And now you know why the Abrahamic religions forbid usury. It’s honestly a wonder the world managed to dig itself back into this particular hole again.
Where in the article does it say that?
That’s the one I was calling a false alarm. Their CEO later clarified what they meant, but the short of it is: Republicans are more likely to go after big tech (he backed this up by facts), and apparently Gail Slater does have a good track record (including working under Lina Khan during Biden’s term). Yeah Republicans bad blah blah blah, but that’s quite literally not their problem.
Okay now that’s shitty.
Edit: Apparently not.
What about Proton? If you mean the fiasco a few weeks back then that’s a false alarm where the internet just went apeshit over an innocent remark.
Edit: From what I’ve seen from these replies, it’s all false alarms and nothing actually implicates Proton here. A Swiss company is not obligated to put up a disclaimer saying Trump bad every time they want to talk about American politics (which they only do so far as it pertains to their privacy mandate).

I mean before the revolution Iran had a CIA-installed puppet government so… Yeah.
I mean the CCP isn’t an oligarchy; it’s an old school dictatorship.
Sigh. I have nothing to say to you guys anymore. Just sigh.
I mean it’s both. The expectation of two income households enabled corporate greed to really go crazy.
Literally yes. This is the perfect counterexample against the childish notion of “violent = bad”.
As someone who doesn’t really watch movies, I didn’t.
Am I the only one seeing a crab?
I see the next chapter in the FlyingSquid saga has started.
I have to say: I’d thought Protestantism was the more sane of the three major Christian sects, but apparently not. What the hell is this?
