This is one of those TIL’s were im trying to figure out if its a joke or what. They provide them for you at many mini golf places.

there are these hand mice made for giving presentations. They generally use trackball type things but some are gyroscopes and you just move it around in the air.

This is not what you asked but I use bitwarden for unimportant passwords and keypass for important ones. I actually keep the keybase database on an external drive that I only plug in when I use it.

I only have a smartphone because a job gave me a monthly stipend to have it in the past and I don’t currently have a plan for it. that being said I am deeply in bed with google. I actually am more concerned with the fact that google could just drop all the services one day than the privacy so I am and advocate for government email (not as much in the last week or so) that would be guaranteed to not go away and allow for in person support maybe run by the post office (and run with similar independence and rights) or at the state level the secretary of state. Maybe both. Would it be my main social email? No, but I could rely on its stability. Most people are aghast at this but I really don’t get how having some corporation, no matter how well their current safeguards are, is better than a government one run similarly.

yeah at least it would make it a bit more work and honestly its often about not being the low hanging fruit. Im a home body so I would not mind bringing it a bit more local. Figure it would add to their vpn headaches as going to the region would not be enough.

It would be great to have like a controllable firewall setting so you could like lock out anything from your state but if you are going on vacation then before you go you can open up another state or country or such.

I mean I have no idea how your email is not going to looks like some kind of scam coming from non official resources.

I did a thing like this but with a ios command that wrote the disk to image and piped it to ssh but then piped it back to a waiting drive. It was great as you could pull the disk and boot right off it. Do you know if that can be done with dd?

Im no linkedin and don’t get bombarded with thousands of emails and targeted ads. My email is on my resume that I send out as well. I don’t see how I can be in the job market and not disseminate my email. You could limit your self to jobs listed on companies websites but you will still need to make a thing with workday or whatnot very few do their own system.

sigh. im no sure why my initial thing is not clear. I was saying it would be great if posts from a community was spread out so that when going through your feed you see a greater vareity rather than seeing them clumped up. this is not about not wanting to see particular things. A cat community will have cat pictures. if I did not want to see them I could block the community from all. but I like cat pictures as much as the next person. pets are cute. if posts are put by one person all at the same time though then you get a bunch in a row as opposed to intersped between communities. So the tool from the original post seemed cool and I am hoping folks use them if so inclined. thats all.

well so you could have several cat pictures lets say but they are not of the same cat and its not doing the same thing or many various articles about trump. different things and actions. one about the trial another about greenland another about immigrants, etc. no direct duplicates just causes the feed to be streaky.

sorry was not talking dupes just many posts like pictures of the same type or 6 news articles in a row or whatnot.

yeah don’t misunderstand. its a nicety but beggars can’t be choosey type of thing. Quality posts are a gift so I don’t mean to quibble about the packaging :)

depends on how concerned you are with the recievers. its nice when going through a feed to have topics spread out. at least to me. im much more likely to start just scrolling past more things when clumped together but if spread out then they get a bit more attention. That could just be me though.

so does this mean post dumps can be spread out? If so I hope some mods use it as it would help for each post to be like once an hour rather than half a dozen all at once.

I too would like to add to that I am a typical earth man for sure. I like many manly things like earth sports.
