  • I honestly don’t have too much to back up, so I run one full backup job every Sunday for different directories I care about. They run a check on the directory and only back up any changes or new files. I don’t have the space to backup everything, so I only take the smaller stuff and most important. The backup software also allows live monitoring if I enable it, so some of my jobs I have that turned on since I didn’t see any reason not to. I reuse the NAS drives that report errors that I replace with new ones to save on money. So far, so good.

Backup software is Bvckup2, and reddit was a huge fan of it years ago, so I gave it a try. It was super cheap for a lifetime license at the time, and it’s super lightweight. Sorry, there is no Linux version.

You forgot the late 20s to early 30s were we are all grown up and responsible, possibly with kids, and going to close friends houses parties for a few years were half the people are super responsibleand the other still living it up taking way to many drugs. Then, we transition to doing nothing.

Over the years of talking with my wife about who we find attractive, she has realized I find almost all women attractive in some ways and normally the ones that are supposed to be attractive i find less attractive. She hated this realization because she applied it to herself, and it made her feel bad… I just find the good in most people, that’s all!

  • That’s awful. A lot of people do a lot of degrading work in life… you do what you gotta do. Besides, I would imagine getting your foot in the door in a big budget movie would do tons for the rest of their careers and could have helped with getting other roles easier. Pretty sure that’s how it works for everyone in the industry. Did Peter not do anything like this?

  • Not sure if you know the reason for the song, but here is the info behind it… the actual footage was brutal as well.

A Song Inspired by an Infamous Suicide

Patrick found the lyrical inspiration for “Hey Man Nice Shot” from the January 1987 suicide of Pennsylvania State Treasurer R. Budd Dwyer. It occurred on the day Dwyer was to be sentenced for 11 counts of bribery for which he had faced up to 55 years in prison and a $305,000 fine, according to an Associated Press article from the time. No money was said to have exchanged hands. The public official spent 20 minutes on live television proclaiming his innocence, then shot himself to death. The incident shocked family, friends, and political associates, not to mention the viewing audience.

  • I currently use Navidrome as well, but I really don’t use smart playlists like that. For me, I use Symfonium on Android, which offers a ton of options and is incredible. In all my years of using a personal server to host music, this app has been the best by a lot. As for desktop apps, I don’t use them much, but when I do, I use Musicbee, which also offers unlimited customization if you’re willing to put time into it. It used to have a subsonic plug-in, but I have no idea if it’s still active. I just use the local file location and treat it as its own entity. If the subsonic plug-in still works, it may allow you to do what you want since everything seems possible in Musicbee from my experience.
