I’m trying to understand what the last two streaming services are.
I guess that’s even worse.

The best offices I’ve worked at did cubicles. I don’t understand why people don’t like the isolation, maybe it’s about how much they enjoy working by themselves.
Yeah, one of the few good movies I watched that felt emotionally draining. Joker is another good example.
But I thought Sauron was linked to the ring so if the ring is alive so is Sauron?
Why didn’t Elrond do a whole this is Sparta kick and shove Isidular when he whispered no?
I guess elves like their own rings too much.
I’m glad someone else realized this too.
I realized something, ever since 2016 we have been trained by the media to constantly be outrage over words that may never become actions.
So now I only care if an action is made. All this “news” about trolls trolling the world is just a big nothing burger that you don’t need to know unless you actually work in politics.
I would go as far as to say it should become a rule on some news subs that a controversial figure saying something controversial is not news.
Might be a damage control group tho
So I recently installed Immich and it does it for me using local AI
Somehow I am much less scared of AI being forced into everything compared to VR or crypto.
I guess it’s because I know AI is a nothing burger and will slowly lose hype.
Although this is terrible, once again a headline on lemmy made me paranoid only to find out that my phone probably doesn’t even support this.
Going through the settings and turning things off is second nature to me by now, it’s not unique to Apple (looking at your Microsoft).
What we need is an opt out mode on every device. Similar to the accept necessary cookies only, we need every device to let you fully opt out from everything it can when you boot it up for the first time.
Yep, I don’t see it either but that might be because I’m on an older iOS.
Photo sync claims it does and as I mentioned in the post, I’m okay with needing to trigger it myself via its own app.
This is amazing, exactly what I was looking for!
Am I the only millennial that actually feels things that happened more than a decade ago are old?
Like I get it, the ps3 wasn’t before my time, but it’s ancient now given how we just got the ps5 pro.
What’s ironic is this is the stuff they should be doing to be a good business.
It’s like evil today has to go out of its way to not help anyone. I miss classic evil where they took pride in their products.
Don’t forget shell and all the ones that have making climate change way worse.
I’m okay with shitty Facebook; ruining the planet for all current and future life, imo that’s up there with the insurance companies.
Well, I meant a socialist revolution.
Also, a lot of revolutions don’t go the way they intended.
centuries of successful revolutions
You know, the first French Revolution gave France napoleon, who was a dictator and only because he was constantly at war that he was unable to hold on to power.
Not every revolution accomplishes its goals so calling all of them successful is a stretch.
Idk if we need new examples, there has been so many example already.
But again I would like to reiterate, imo socialist revolution can work, but it’s the brute force, bloody and inefficient method that would never be my first pick if I have options.
Yes, whereas we actually don’t know what we need for a proper revolution.
So imo that still a far safer bet because it has happened successfully before.
I feel like 20 years ago someone made a similar realization with Linux vs windows
Edit: i remember people telling me how good Linux was in 2010ish (so maybe 20 years was wrong), so idk…
