That is super cool! Thanks for taking the time to reply!
Oh, I’ve never heard of mechanical splices, only the ones that heat and melt the fibers together. Can you do custom lengths? Is there a machine that does it?
I would genuinely love any info you have
The equipment required to fuse glass fiber to connectors is still slightly more expensive than a set of crimp tools. Really cool machine though
No, technically it’s the 9700xtx
Also, power draw is more like 350-400
This is probably going to sound like a stupid question, but did anyone actually check to make sure there weren’t any major deviations in the English translation of the Icelandic version?
iirc anything after 802.11ac doesn’t allow AP mode on client devices. Something about not being able to scan for restricted channels in 5/6ghz
Always have? 🌎 🧑🚀🔫🧑🚀
Put a 4090 in there and pump those numbers up!
Maybe a failure at a commercial level, but people tech nerds are still heating their homes in the winter with crypto miners
If I understand correctly, it’s nat on the local home router AND nat on the ISP’s router as well. It’s a double nat.
They’re fairly common in the US with smaller or local fiber networks, but most ISPs offer a static IP for an additional $10/month to bypass the CGNAT
. . . are all 3rd world nations.
Uh, Sweden and Finland are NATO members (2024 & 2023 respectively) and Ireland has had relations with NATO since the 90s.
They were considered 3rd world by the original definition at the time it was defined.
Lol by the time I actually needed to upgrade from that mini, all the fruit stand stuff wasn’t really upgradable anymore. It was really frustrating, so I jumped ship to Windows.
Those iMac screens seemed so fiddley to remove just to get access to the drives. Why won’t they just bolt them in instead of using glue! (I know why, but I still don’t like it)
Lol, I used to have an 08 Mac mini and that required a razor blade and putty knives to open. I got pretty good at it after separately upgrading the RAM adding an SSD and swapping out the cpu for the most powerful option that Apple didn’t even offer
Yes, it’s the OS for their custom KVM board. Released open source so it can be inspected or altered by the users of their board
It’s a touchscreen for a smart watch that they reused to save money. Would have been more expensive to design a custom screen when something like this already exists
Wrong shade, could work for Trump tho
