It’s the OnePlus Nord N200. It was actually released in 2021, but I purchased it new in 2023, since I could get Lineage OS on it.
So it’s decidedly mid-range, but it gets the job done.
I would personally rather not spend two or three Monero on a phone if I can avoid it.
I bought this phone brand new in 2023 and have been using the 80-30 charge rule at all times since I purchased it and my battery health is incredibly good still.
According to the Android system settings, I just recently passed 400 charge cycles in two years.
If I could get a thousand cycles out of the battery, that would mean five years of daily use. Doing 80 to 30.
Agreed. unifiedPush should be tablesteaks
If it sounds like overkill on the privacy front, that’s a good chance that it means you should be using it LOL.
I don’t know of any. I use battery bot in combination with its notifications of charge above 80% and charge below 30%. And then in my Android system settings, I have the ability to cap my charge level at 81%.
They don’t have some sort of foreground service in the notification tray that keeps it running in the background?
Oh look, they also accept Monero as donations.
I’ve never heard of it, but damn it does sound interesting.
The fact that your identity is nothing but a Tor V3 onion address is incredibly interesting.
Those are super easy to change, so no one would know that it’s you across different addresses unless you specifically tell them.
I see they have an Android app, but I would want to make sure that it’s on fdroid.
At first glance, I’m able to find repositories with what looks like source code in it, so this might actually be something interesting to look into.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•What is the safest repository to an install application from on Android? GitHub or Fdroid?
0·1 month agoAlso remember that fdroid is working on getting applications to use reproducible builds so that they are not the ones responsible for building the application. They just have to build it and check to see if it matches what the developer issued as the actual application.
They want you to not have to trust them.
You should switch banks to a bank that already has a web application and doesn’t require you to use a mobile application to make purchases.
I self-host my own Monero node and I self-host my password manager and my files

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Tile/AirTag/Chipolo tracker recommendations for GrapheneOS?
0·1 month agoI haven’t gone through all the modes, but apparently there is a tracker mode that from what I understand doesn’t really broadcast unless it receives a specific signal from a known device. So theoretically it might last a bit longer, but yeah, I definitely see your point.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Any privacy respecting stuff to do livestreams AND get donations? Twitch AND Livepix are screwed up.
0·1 month agoFor the donations you could have a look at https://xmrchat.com/
Have a look at Reolink.
Unfortunately, you need the app to set it up the first time, which you can only get on Google Play or the iOS App Store, but I don’t think you need an account for them at all.
Note: I do not own any, but I was doing some research to see about using them with Home Assistant.
