They make stranded bulk cable, but there’s really not much use for it.
Nobody wants to pay people to terminate cat6 patch cables. It’s not cost effective compared to just buying premade cables of various lengths.
Maybe that’s why you are downvoted? You are otherwise factually correct. You shouldn’t use solid cable for patches…solid cable belongs in the wall/plenum to the back of the patch panel, where it doesn’t get messed with. It’s too fragile to be used outside of a wall.
Stranded is more flexible, making it better suited for patches, but it also doesn’t punch-down into jacks as nicely (making it a poor choice for runs between patch panels/wall jacks)
Just…whatever you do…don’t get CCA. Cheap crap shouldn’t even be allowed to call itself CAT6.
We’re in x86 and we speak binary assembly in this architecture, goddammit.
Thank you. If Ikea could write directions in Python, I would be sooooo happy.
Would you rather be followed by 50rats, or one deadmau5?
Ok I don’t know how sheepdogs fit into the analogy but IMO they are neither pets nor cattle. They are like coworkers, and if I have to risk one every now and then to keep the wolves busy, so be it. It’s a dog-eat-dog world.
You reminded me of when I was cramming for CCNA like 10 years ago, and had a really bad cold for which I was given Codeine.
My girlfriend at the time told me that I was rambling about “spanning tree” in my sleep.
On that day, when the sky fell away
Our world came to an end
In our eyes did a fading sun rise
In the dark, glimmering shadows
A dollar is only a good price for an elephant if you need an elephant and have a dollar.
This is my problem with it.
Social media, the big ones that everyone uses, are a blight on society. They are worse than cancer and they need regulation and control.
Really, the bigger problem is the monetization of data, and the ever-deeper orificices that they try to dig into for said data.
But I digress.
At the same time, they are private industries running a public (ish) forum.
Historically, we’d expect the forum owners to be responsible about the content they are presenting, and ensure that it doesn’t reflect poorly on them or their community.
In other words…you wouldn’t see the grocer keeping hate speech up on his community board…but if you did, I’m sure a lot of people would choose a different grocer.
The social media giants are taking a page right out of the book of Mormon, and gotten itself so engrained into modern society that trying to separate yourself from it will, at some level, result in social exile. That’s bad.
Now theres a company backed by an increasingly adversarial nation-state that is in charge of a shit ton of that data. That’s bad.
There’s a lot of bad. Ultimately, it’s a highly nuanced issue.
Theys Americans is so dumb.
Twitter isn’t and wasn’t worth $44 billion.
Controlling the narrative is, though.
If Russia and China can make civilian nuclear vessels a thing, there’s gotta be something that can be done to make a safe civilian nuclear cargo ship. Or some other very dense green fuel, or Hydrogen. That’s probably the only place on earth that hydrogen makes sense.
How did our navy manage to overcomplicate a dead-mans switch so much to make a nuclear ship significantly more complicated to operate than reactor power?
My last acid trip involved spending a night at a campsite. I’m not really sure how or why…we didn’t have a camper…or a tent. We just found a patch of grass in a rather busy campground and tripped balls in the open all night.
When life gives you lemons, look for a lemon stealing whore.
using characters that need to be escaped in your plugins name
Yep. It’s always when I’m adding a payment method to like a credit card or something.
The ones that are web-based and block password vault auto fill…on desktop…those really grind my gears.
Also, is it me, or is android really bad about detecting when something is a username/password field and the vault auto fill should be suggested
Weird, that’s one character off from my Paramount+ password. I know from typing it on every fucking STB and console that I own and painstakingly quadruple-checking each character when it fails.
You’d think I’d just change to a passphrase but nah. Ain’t nobody got time for that. Too busy ranting about user unfriendly problems that shouldn’t exist in modern STB apps.
Poor unidan. Reddit’s resident ornitholigist who flew too close to the sun.
I really loved accounts like his…people who were very knowledgeable on a subject and would just show up to drop a ton of knowledge. It satiated my wikihole cravings while also keeping me on Reddit.
